Summary: There has been an increase in the numbers of tick species and in their distributions over the past three decades. This has led to increased risk of infection in people and animals from established and newly identified tickborne pathogens.
This presentation discusses changes in the distributions of ticks and tickborne infections in North America and recommended strategies to limit transmission of tickborne disease.
